Vaidya Smita Naram is an accomplished Ayurvedic physician, pharmaceutical herbalist and nutritionist. She specializes in pulse evaluation, Ayurvedic diet and panchakarma and is an international presenter, teacher and author.

Smita Naram graduated in Ayurvedic medicine from Dhanwantari Ayurvedic College , Bhagalpur , India 1981; Diploma in Pharmacy from PV Polytechnic college 1984; Diploma in Business Management from Indian Merchant Chambers and Diploma in Export Management from Indo-American Institute of Management in 1986.

Smita Naram has been honored with numerous awards for her work including 1995 National Mahila Excellence Award by Indian Solidarity Council.

Smita Naram and her husband, renowned Master Pulse Reader Pankaj Naram created the International Ayushakti Ayurved Health Centre in Mumbai in 1988. She serves as the Managing Director of this Company. The centre includes the well-known Ayurvedic restaurant, Swadshakti, outpatient clinic, panchakarma centre and accommodation rooms, herbal pharmacy and busy training centre.

Smita Naram and Pankaj Naram have travelled worldwide sharing their wisdom and expertise giving consultations, workshops and trainings for Ayurvedic Practitioners. They have created more than 25 centres in India , Italy , Germany , Switzerland , France , Australia , New Zealand and USA .

Smita Naram implements and teaches a three year Ayurvedic pulse training course for Practitioners in Europe and lectures regularly at international forums.

Smita Naram has also developed a line of herbal beauty products. She is a regular presenter on Zee TV which airs in 22 countries.
