Kumud Merani is a well known media personality in India as well as Australia .

She was one of the pioneer News Readers of Indian Television and was hailed one of the most popular Doordarshan (TV) news readers of Mumbai.

Kumud was a News Presenter for the World News on SBS TV for a short period but has found her niche as the National Executive Producer of Hindi Programs on SBS Radio. She has been widely acclaimed for her Productions, Presentation and Scripting. Kumud has been the recipient of several National and International Awards for her Radio Documentaries and plays. She has produced and acted in several successful theatre plays. Kumud has also been the Master of Ceremonies at more than 300 functions Australia-wide.

As a holder of a Masters of Art Degree with Ancient Indian Culture and History, and a gold medal holder in the subject, it is no surprise that Kumud has an intrinsic interest in Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy. She is responsible for being one of the passionate torch bearers of the Indian Arts and all things Indian.
