Dr.Gopalakrishnan , is a senior scientist, from 1982, working for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India . He is famous for his lectures aimed at rekindling the scientific heritage of India . He along with a few other scholars, founded the Indian Institute of Scientific Heritage (IISH) in 1999, of which he is Hon. Director

He has earned accolades for studying Indian Scientific Heritage, for this in his area of passion. An avid learner and orator, Dr. Gopalakrishnan travels around the world spreading the message that there is a distinct link between Indian heritage and science and there are indisputable scientific explanations to what we practice as our heritage. He is a visiting scientist and faculty member in universities and institutes, being invited to lecture within India and all over the world. Some of the other countries are USA , Canada , UK and parts of the Middle East . He also lectures in Multi-national companies for the executives.

Dr.Gopalakrishnan has over fifty Science & Technology research papers in Indian and International Scientific Journals; six patents in Science & Technology as well as Indian National Level Awards from the S & T Scientific Societies.

He has written more than 50 books in English and Malyalaam and more than 250 popular articles in science and culture; vedic management; vedic agriculture; scientific and technological heritage of India; vegetarian food; science of living; Gita and management; customs and rituals; scientific spirituality; values and value based education; values for parents; integrated management, etc..

Besides the above he has:

The Indian Institute of Scientific Heritage is planning, under Dr.Gopalakrishnan's guidance, to build an institute having the status of a deemed university at the National Heritage Centre campus in Trissur, for learning and teaching all about India
