Brother Satyananda ( USA ) As a monk of Paramahansa Yogananda's Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) monastic community for over 30 years, Brother Satyananda has inspired audiences in North and South America, Europe, Australia , and New Zealand with his dynamic presentations on the ancient philosophy of Yoga and the time-honored science of meditation. Brother Satyananda - whose name denotes "the attainment of bliss through truth" - was born in San Diego , California and as a youth lived along the coast in Southern California . He became a SRF monk in 1975, a few years after graduating from San Diego State University , where he studied business and sociology. Presently he is based at the Self-Realization Fellowship headquarters in Los Angeles and serves as the minister-in-charge of the SRF Temple in Phoenix , Arizona . Brother Satyananda will not only be speaking at the AYA Conference but will also be speaking at the SRF event following on the 10-12th of April. For details please see |
